Ambassador Scobey's message after the fire in the Shoura Council building

تلقينا بحزن شديد خبر احتراق مبني مجلس الشوري. ونحن نتمني الشفاء العاجل للمصابين من أبطال مكافحة الحريق و المدنيين.
فالمبني التاريخي الذى دمر يعتبر كنزاً قومياً مصرياً و نحن نتطلع الي اعادة بناءه في القريب العاجل حتي يعود المجلس الي بيته.

We were saddened by the fire in the Shoura Council building and hope for the speedy recovery of the heroic firefighters and civilians who were injured. The historic building damaged is an Egyptian national treasure. We look forward to its reconstruction, and a quick return of the Shoura Council to its home.
