Residents of the Republic of the Sudan may apply for consular services at the American Embassy, 8 Kamal El Din Salah St., Garden City, Cairo, Egypt. Additionally, an American consular officer visits the American Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan about once every month.

Important Announcement

Effective January 1, 2005, the Consular Section in Cairo will no longer accept immigrant visa petitions via TNT courier. To schedule and appointment contact our Consular Office in Khartoum at 249-123-06599, or contact our Consular Office in Cairo at (20)(2) 797-2504 between 2:00 - 4:00 PM Cairo time. Please visit the Filing a Petition in Cairo page for further information.

Applicants applying for an NIV visas

Applicants can now call from Sudan to make NIV appointments. Presently only cellular phones can be used to schedule appointments. Appointment numbers are as follows:
